Instructions on Getting the Latest Q-Chem Binary Files

As you know Q-Chem is under active development and we strive to provide our customers the latest bug fixes and feature updates whenever they are available. This page provides the latest Q-Chem binary repository updated in a nearly daily basis. Please note that this is not 'nightly build' snapshot. All the binaries distributed here must pass our internal tests.


1. Download the latest Q-Chem binary here

Linux 64 bit parallel binary using MPICH

Linux 64 bit serial binary with OpenMP

2. On Linux, Mac and AIX systems please follow the instructions below

2a) unzip the binary using gunzip

2b) set the binary file execution bit using ' chmod a+x '

2c) copy the new binary to $QC/exe directory

2d) re-link qcprog.exe in $QC/exe directory to the new binary ('ln -sf new_binary qcprog.exe')

3. On Windows system you can unzip the file using utilities like winrar or 7-zip, and replace the previous qchem_s.exe or qchem_p.exe files in %QC%/exe directory with the new binary. You can simply use use your windows explorer to complete this task.
