Resonance Raman scheme

  • A Raman spectroscopy technique in which the incident photon energy is in resonance with some electronic transition of the system under study.

  • Selective enhancement of molecular vibrations that couple strongly to the electronic transition.

  • Much stronger than non-resonant Raman.

  • Sensitive in detecting excited state dynamics.
